We planted our very first grapes in New Zealand, back in 1974. Hence the native Maori name, 'Matua', meaning "head of the family".
This is a fabulous expression of a cool climate New Zealand medium body Pinot Noir, with an aroma reminiscent of red cherry and raspberry, with a hint of currant, producing a fruit-prominent, cleaner style wine.
